Chinese white tea containing buds with white downy hairs (mild).
In ancient Chinese mythology Pai Mu Tan (or Bai Mudan) is known as the most beautiful courtesan in the city of Luoyang and a reincarnation of the Peany Fairy (Pai Mu Tan means 'white peony' in English). Later she is deified as a goddess with a reputation as a seducer, tempting men, in particular an ascetic.
This delicate, tempting white tea has a fuller taste than most of the white teas.
