A mild tea from the Elbedde tea garden in Sri Lanka.
The tea estate Elbedde in the Central Province of Sri Lanka was founded in 1891. It is situated relatively high on 1200 metres.
In the 'tea leaf grading' the Orange Pekoe (OP) is the best quality. Within OP the quality differs, depending on how many of the adjacent young leaves were picked with the bud: 2, 1 or none. The highest quality is only the bud.
The 'tea leaf grading' is used in many tea producing countries, except China.
