Chinese green tea (stronger), each leaf rolled into a small round pellet.
The rolled leaves shining like greyish-green metal and with pellet shape show a strong similarity to actual gun powder. The pellets unfold in the hot water to free their strong aromas. This tea is produced literally for ages already, as production dates back to the Tang dynasty (618-907 AC).
It is also used often in preparation of the north African mint tea.
