The province of Yunnan in the south of China is rich on natural resources, like aluminium, tin and zinc and with the largest diversity of plant life in China it is a true treasure room for botanists. Although the mountainous area is rough and difficult to cultivate, Yunnan is mainly an agricultural province.
And – perhaps the most important aspect if Yunnan – it is known as 'the birthplace of tea'. It is here that humans figured out that eating tea leaves or brewing them could be really pleasant.
