This tea is named after Elisabeth Maria, the first woman to manage Het Klaverblad in 1800 and daughter of founder Jacobus van der Kreek.
Elisabeth went through the most difficult times in Het Klaverblad history, which included the Dutch annexation to the Napoleonic Empire and a complex reorganisation of the business back from the VOC era.
Her leadership and creativity stood the test of time and are the backbone of the Het Klaverblad identity.
